Fjus Harley 45 chopper

This guy is beyond reality sometimes. He can be a total retard and the next minute amazingly serious and a very good mechanic.
Is he a superhero or just a weirdo?
When Fjus does not wear his phantom suit he rides a harley 45 chopper, built from parts he found in his dads barn.
During the summer he use it as his daily driver, way much better then his Volvo!
keep on rocking bro!

My chopper project

2 days ago on my birthday I got a crome oil tank for my chopper from Fjus.
Thanks man!
And a week ago I found a really nice Triumph rear fender I need to get cromed.
Today I made a little mock up of some parts in my garage.
Found a 1946 knuckle engine block under a work bench and some cylinders and heads from a panhead in my shelf. Now I need to find a set of patina up sweeps and cromed type dixe muffler for panhead.
Later a 1952 EL panhead will fit the frame. Dont know yet what kind of saddle I want, but I will figure that out soon.

Right now it just hangs on the wall, waiting until Ill find the rest of the parts.
I hope I can start build it this winter.

I am still Looking for:
Old cromed oem kicker cover
old cromed hummer tank
old cromed oil pump
old crome clutch arm

Where were you in 1952?

This 1952 Ford belongs to my garage pal Johan. Its still has most of its original paint it got when it left the Ford factory in Detroit.
Johan is a guy who likes to restore old bicycles on his weekends. moustly bikes from the 30´s and 40´s.
The plan is to get this old customline Ford back on the street. It just need some small adjustment before we can make it run as smooth as a flathead can go.

Banjos are for hillbillys

My good friend Pål Torp in Norway got himself a very nice 29/32 roadster and soon it will be out on the street. But the fuel line is not what you wanna see on a traditional period correct hotrod. Banjo fittings are not correct my friend!

Last week I made him a new fuel line made of copper and brass. sent it by mail to Norway. Yesterday I got these last two pics on my cellphone from Pål. No words needed.

Ford 1932 tudor build in Denmark

Sometimes I miss this old bastard , built this car 4 years ago. And now it just sits in parts in a barn, maybe I should put it back together?
This car war actually built in Denmark in 1932. The european body is a little different then the american, its wider and got suicide doors and got deeper cowl. The europeans must have been bigger then americans in the 30´s!
The dash does have dual glowboxes. One on each side of the dash cluster.
I liked the car almoust better then the american.
Maybe it will be running next year..

Jack Nethercutt´s 1952 olds Holiday 98 built by Barris

1952 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 restyled by Barris Kustoms for Jack Nethercutt of Santa Monica, California. Jack bought the Oldsmobile in 1953. He was 16 years old at the time and decided to have they guys at Barris Kustoms restyle the car for him. At Barris Kustoms the top was chopped and a new molded grille opening was made out of exhaust tubing. The gravel pan was molded in and the front bumper guards were sectioned and fit with 1953 Mercury bumper bullets. A floating bar from a 1953 Ford was installed between the modified bumper guards. The hood was shaved and peaked and the headlights were frenched. Custom made parking lights were integrated below the headlight rims. The car was shaved for door handles and deck lid ornamentation and the doors were push-button operated. The side trim was a combination of 1953 Dodge and 1953 Ford side trim. Jack had George and the guys install custom fender skirts on the car. Functional scoops were fabricated in front of the fender skirts. The stock taillights were kept, but they were frenched into the extended rear fenders. Twin Cadillac antennas were installed on the rear fenders. The exhaust was routed through square slots in the rear bumper and backup lights were integrated into the bumper guards. Jack also had Barris install dual spotlights. Once the bodywork was done, Jack's Olds was painted copper with a gold roof. The car got its power from a gold plated 1953 Cadillac engine. Because of its extensive use of gold plating, Jack's Olds was often referred to as the "Goldsmobile" although it's real name was "Vienesse". Among the guys at Barris Kustoms working on the car was George Barris, John Manok and Frank Sonzogni.

Jack's car was later mangled in the right rear quarter, so he had to bring it back to Barris Kustoms to have it repaired.

I hope my dad reads this and maybe get some ideas for his ´52 Olds holiday 98!
Hint hint!

Stewart Warner tach angledrive

FIRST

SECOND

THIRD

N.O.S

I got a problem.
Now I got 3 stewart Warner tachometer angle drives. They are all for the flathead V8 but they are all diffrent in small details.

Now I need to figure out which is what and when.

The FIRST one I got hand of sits on my roadster today.
it has a bronze bracket with casting# 103314T and is a short bracket. And the bracket on the angledrive was diecast. The SW angledrive had ID# 649 - L .500 V8. The keyhole is square.

The SECOND one has both brackets cast in bronze. And the angledrive is mounted upside down. the big bracket got casting# 103314M and are much longer then the first one. And the SW angledrive ID# 649 BY .500 V8.
The keyhole is shaped as a key.

The THIRD has a diecast bracket with casting# 103314T(shorter) and the angledrive bracket cast in bronze. this unit has been together atleast since 1956 when the guy I bought it from removed it from his 1929 roadster.
The SW angledrive got ID# 649 - L .500 S11.
the keyhole is square.

I also got one N.O.S SW angledrive with ID# 649 AD .500 H11.
this got a key shaped keyhole.

Anyone out there knows what years these are manufactured. I gues someone of these are older then the other one.
But it would be very intresting to know.I guess the third one is oldest. If they are made for diffrent flathead V8 engines 18 , 99A/T, 59ab , 8Ba and so on. If any on the world wide web knows anything, send me an email at Flatheadroadster@gmail.com
