In Dust I Thrust

After spending a hole day at El Mirage last weekend I just had to immortalize the dust on my engineer boots. What a place it is. You are standing in the middle of the race cars at the pit, just a few feet away and no one is telling you to fuck of.
I havent had any time to go trough all the pics yet but Ill get back to subject El Mirage as soon as I can.

Im back in Sweden again.

We need to see more of these when we are hunting in the forest.

Not a everyday sight but hell, I wanna see just one sitting there.
Just waiting for me to take it home.

GONE FISHING

Gone fishing for a few weeks.

Right now im traveling around in America and I dont have the time to sit infront of an computer.

Right now im in Fort Dodge ,hanging around wit my pal ,Ken Walsh. He´s the one who took care of my 1932 roadster project until I could pick it up.
on sunday im on my way down to Grantville ,Pensylvaina to visit my buddy Zach Suhr and go to Hershey swapmeet.

Im back in Sweden 26 th october.

THE Doane Spencer Dash

Here is some pics of one of my greatest car parts I own or ever will own.

What you see here in the pics is the one and only original dash out of Doane Spencers roadster. This dash hasnt been in the car since Spencer teared his car apart around 1950 for the Carrera pan america race.
Last picture is an old color picture from 1947 where you can see the dash as it was in its prestine condition. Its from the book birth of hotrodding.

The car was never finnished for the Mexican carrera race as it was no more after 1954 because to many people died from it. Spencer sold his car to Lynn wineland in 1956. He never got it running but sold it to Neal East in 1969.
Neal gave his word that he had to keep the roadster black and Ford powered.
I have spoken to a good friend of Neal and he told the story that Lynn found and gave Neal the dash as it was original to the car. Neal didnt want it as he allready had a new dash in the car and sold the then rusty engine turned dash at LA roadster show swappmeet in very early 70´s.
Story after that is gone but im trying to get it and will in the future...I hope atleast I do!

It ended up in my collection a year ago.
I have  collect allmoust every gauge as it had from the beginning. 2 3/8 backmount curved glass gauges!
And tomorrow Im leaving Sweden to the states to pick up a original 1932 roadster body and frame and the plan is to build myself a clone of the car BEFORE Spencer took it apart.

a Holly 94. Add a light bulb , some wireing , old gaslines and an aircleaner.

Voilá!

And you got your self a set of odd looking lamp to give your grandma for birthday!

Time is runnig away , tomorrow its 1 week left until I leave Sweden for my trip to US & A.
Now I can document the hole trip with my Canon 5D Mark III And film in HD quality!

Swap meet at hershey, pick up my 1932 roadster in Fort Dodge, New York , tire kickin in LA, Hotrod Reunion in Bakersfield and way more shit to see during the days that may pass by.

Like I said. Im back in business! No more shity smartphone pics.

My Trailer Queens

Fuck this summer.
The Swedish summer sucks, it rains all the time and I am a poor guy who cant afford to buy a Ford with a roof. Both my cars are open. I get wet all the time.

And both of my flatheads has crashed.
My 40 merc engine in the roadster had its crank cracked in half and I had to borrow a 1936 21 bolt from my brother Ronnie. But I had to trail it back home to Gothenburg.

My 1936 21 bolt flathead in my pheaton got a bearing sound that I dont like on the way home from the Hop Upers swapmeet last weekend. Ended up on a trailer this weekend.

Both my roadster and my Pheaton has been on a trailer this summer.
I dont like it at all.

The only thing that makes it feel better is that Im going to the US & A in 2 weeks to bring home my Henry 32 roadster!

Back in the days like 10 years ago, you could find alot of cool stuff on Ebay.

Like this old rusty hotrod.

I wish it could tell the story.
A 1929 roadster body with chopped windshield on a 32 frame.
Look at the original Auburn dash and instrument cluster. 1940 deluxe steering wheel.
I looks like i had a radio once as the antenna is still on the cowl.
I think this was a very nice car back in its haydays.

Does anyone know what happend with this car? Who bought it? I remember it sold on ebay.
Does anyone know what tail lights it has??


Is it under restoration? or is just sitting somewhere?

5 boxes of treasure

A couple of days ago I got 5 big boxes filled with old Swedish bike and car magazines!
from 1965 and up!

The first issues of Colorod , Start & Speed , MCnytt , Wheels and so on.
I even got a bunch of early 70´s Easy rider.

It is so cool and just sit and read these old mags and the 5 first magazines I opened I found atleast 6 friends of my!

I even found some articles about my dad in Colorod from 1977!

I owe the guy who gave me these boxes a big thanks.

Now I have plenty of magazines to read in my garage this winther.

Ride your hotrod while you can

This season is getting shorter.
But today the conditions where perfect for a ride with your brothers.

Me and my chick in my 29/32 pheaton , Christer in my 28/32roadster , Sebastian and David in the 30 tudor , Kilen in his 29 pick up and Johan in his 26 roadster pick up.

We met up at ratpacks augusti round swap meet and took a short ride and ended up at my garage for coffie and kake and alot of tire kicking!

A really good day to hang out!
